NOTICE OF HEARING ON GENERAL BUDGET FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR
TO: The residents and property owners of the Township of Fabius, St. Joseph County, Michigan, and all other interested persons.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Township Board of the Fabius Township has estimated that the total cost and expenses of the general operation of the Township, including fire and police protection service for the 2021-2022 fiscal year of the Township will be $1,048,880.
A summary of the foregoing by categories is as follows:
Total General Government $303,145
Public Safety (Fire and Law Enforcement) $328,646
Public Works (primarily Roads) $283,550
Health and Welfare (Ambulance) $ 50,189
Community Development (Planning and ZBA) $ 26,350
Recreation and Culture (Library/RCRA) $ 57,000
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE the total anticipated revenues of the Township including state shared revenues for use in funding the general budget totals $881,960. Additionally, $166,920 will be transferred from fund balance or the capital improvement fund to total $1,048,880.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that there is no property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the budgets for Bidelman, Walnut Ridge, Edgewood, and Clear Lake Special Assessment Districts will be confirmed.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township Board will conduct a public hearing on the budget for the foregoing estimated costs, expenses and capital charges by way of electronic remote access on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at approximately 7:00 p.m. during the regularly scheduled township meeting. The public may participate in the Township Board Meeting and the Budget Public Hearing through electronic remote access via Zoom access by computer, smart phone/device using the following link:

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a copy of the proposed budget will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the Township Clerk at the Township Hall and available for public inspection upon request for an appointment, from and after the publication of this notice, and until and including the day of said hearing and will further be available at said hearing.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township will provide necessary, reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities upon reasonable notice to the Township Clerk of the need for the same. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the office of the Township Clerk by writing or calling the undersigned Clerk.
All interested persons are invited to be present at the aforesaid time and place to participate in the discussion upon said proposed budget.
